who?

Kevin Stuart Flee (born 21 November 1977) is a South African musician, songwriter, voice artist, photographer, writer and occasional stage and screen actor.

He is best known for his work as front-man of The Death Valley Blues Band, established in 2001, a group known for it’s vibrant live performance and eclectic musical style. In 2004 he joined former Slashdog, Huey Voodoo and Ewald Voster to form voodoo rock group Submachine and in 2006 supported Fuzigish front-man Jay BonesRambling Bones on percussion, backing vocals and glockenspiel. Flee's performances have been characterized by emotional intensity, a wide variety of influences, and lyrical obsessions with spiritualism, death, love and violence.

Between 2004 and 2008 he was a partner in FuzzBox, a multifunctional company in Johannesburg, aimed at helping musicians with service level requirements, namely rehearsal space, photography, bookings and management.

Kevin is a keen photographer and has done professional work for clients as diverse as Anglo Platinum, Red Bull, Special Olympics South Africa and Basketball without Borders but prefers to keep his passion amateur, focusing live music and portrait photography.

As a writer he has contributed articles to cultural magazine Mahala, The Guestlist Network,  Brands & Branding  and alternative girl's magazine, Vixxen.

Kevin S Flee currently lives in London, England.
